About Me
I'm Shannon Rymut, a nonbinary actor based in Colorado and about to graduate from CU Boulder with a BFA in acting. I have been acting and committed to sharing stories since performing as a sparkly dancing turkey doing the "turkey boogie" in a second grade Thanksgiving play. As a member of my theatre department's student DEI group, I have been working for the past year with my peers to create a safe, accessible, and inclusive space for both performers and those who work behind the scenes and offstage. Most of my work has been on the stage, including performing in The Revolutionists, The Play That Goes Wrong, and Antigone. I am also pursuing roles in film and television, with the goal of bringing more characters and stories of people who are queer and transgender to audience's screens—especially with the rise of anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric and policies. Voice acting is another passion of mine, brought on by an avid love of video games and animation.
